Practical tips for making giant paper flowers

I've been making giant paper flowers for a Valentine dinner at church, some over a foot in diameter.  (Maybe "large" is a better description than "giant", but believe me, they seem giant when they're taking over your house!)
I watched a BUNCH of great videos on youtube on how to make these flowers, all different kinds and different methods, and have compiled them into a "What Worked For Me" type tutorial today at CutCardStock.  Aside from the hot glue burns, these are actually pretty fun to make!  These would be so pretty for a wedding or reception d├ęcor.  :)

Because, why not?  My friend Lisa demonstrated these to us at our art group last month, and it was a lovely morning of art and conversation and waffles!
You'll find more details in my heartfelt post today at Altered Pages.

Australian reverse piano hinge book binding technique

My friend Julie taught me this one, I LOVE it--the pages are REMOVABLE!!!  How perfect would that be for a collaborative project?  I'm contemplating attempting or organize a layout swap, maybe a 5 for 5?  Hmmm . . .
The tutorial is up today at the CutCardstock blog.

Happy 1st Birthday! Lumberjack/outdoor themed party

Just a few pictures of the grandbaby boy's first birthday.  His mama had me make lots of decorations, with lots of pinterest inspiration.

Of course, once everyone started arriving, I didn't have time to take pictures!  Other than that, we've been busy having the flu . . . enough said.

Easy Envelope Advent Calendar

Easy Envelope Advent Calendar, in my post today at CutCardStock--so fun to make, and simple, too!

Envelopes, patterned papers, glitter papers, and Christmas collage images from Altered Pages.  I used the Holiday Postcards, Christmas Minibook, and Santa Santa Santa--there are tons more to choose from, and not just in traditional red and greens.

For all the collage images you need, plus the numbers, you can download the Altered Pages kit HERE.  Just add your own envelopes, grab a gluestick, and have at it!
